Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of City Search & Local ("CSL"), operated by City Print. By using CSL, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can use CSL
CSL is designed for local business owners and managers. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or claim a listing. By claiming a business, you represent that you are authorized to manage that business's online presence.
How profiles work
We create business profiles using publicly available data — things like your Google listing, reviews, hours, and photos. This is our "build first, claim later" model. Your business may already have a profile on CSL before you sign up.
When you claim a listing, you get access to your dashboard, review management tools, and your full Storefront Score breakdown. Unclaimed profiles display publicly available information only.
Free and paid tiers
Free tier includes:
- Your Storefront Score and breakdown
- Up to 3 AI-drafted review responses per month
- Weekly email digests
- Competitor rankings
- Public business profile on CSL
Growth and Full Service tiers include everything in Free, plus:
- Unlimited review responses
- Direct publishing to Google, Facebook, and Yelp
- Listing management and syndication
- Priority support
We may change what's included in each tier. If we make changes that affect your paid plan, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.
Acceptable use
Don't use CSL to:
- Post fake reviews or fabricate business information
- Attempt to game or artificially inflate Storefront Scores
- Claim a business you don't own or manage
- Scrape data or use automated tools to access the service
- Harass, spam, or mislead other users
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
Scores and rankings
Storefront Scores, street grades, and leaderboard rankings are generated using our proprietary methodology. We may update this methodology at any time. Scores are informational tools designed to help you improve your online presence — they are not guarantees of business performance, search rankings, or customer volume.
Data accuracy
We pull data from public sources and do our best to keep it accurate, but we can't guarantee that every detail is correct at all times. If you see something wrong on your profile, claim it and update it — or contact us and we'll fix it.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time. When you cancel, you keep access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier.
We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you're unhappy with a paid plan within the first 14 days, contact us and we'll work it out.
Intellectual property
Our scoring methodology, brand, design, and original content are owned by City Print. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our scoring system, ranking algorithms, or proprietary tools without permission.
Content you provide (like review responses) remains yours. By posting it through CSL, you give us permission to display it on your public profile and syndicate it to platforms you've authorized.
Limitation of liability
CSL is provided "as is." We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for lost revenue, missed customers, or any other damages arising from your use of CSL. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.
Dispute resolution
If you have a dispute with us, please reach out at hello@citysearchlocal.com first. We'd rather work things out directly. If we can't resolve it informally, any legal disputes will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and resolved in the courts of Philadelphia County.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through the service. Continuing to use CSL after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
